Qualifications
To be eligible for coverage, you must meet these requirements:
•Must be a current EDI member and in good standing
•All new construction inspections must be electronically filed (mailed
in temporarily) with Loss Prevention using approved software
•Inspectors may not inspect and install/repair on the
same project
•Inspectors must divest of any conflicts of interest
•All failed inspections must be reported to EDI within
72 hours
•Inspectors must submit copy of EDI "binding arbitration" contract
for each inspection to be covered by insurance
•All inspectors are governed by EDI Codes of Ethics and
Standards of Practice
•All inspections must be conducted by a current member
at the job site
•Inspectors signing up for the EDI new construction QC
inspection program must have E & O insurance and agree to conduct
inspections in a timely fashion so as to not delay work progress |
